See live performances, try new foods at the first Global Culture Fest in Pineville
Nearly a year after the Super G Mart in Pineville opened, it’s taking on a new venture: creating the first Global Culture Fest.
At the Nov. 18 international festival, you’ll find a main stage with cultural performances and live music, along with food and retail vendors and local artists whose backgrounds are tied to countries around the world.
“This was something that we had been wanting to do for while to showcase the variety of international communities in the Carolinas region, and with the food hall tenants construction continuing to be delayed, we thought that this would be a good alternative to organize for the community,” said Peter Han, Super G Mart’s vice president of business development.
The events will include a “showcase of some of the local non-profit organizations who share our vision to bridge the gap between cultural differences and create a multi-cultural inclusive community where people from different backgrounds can come together share and exchange their ideas and traditions,” Han told CharlotteFive.
Participants will include:
Cambodian community
Carolinas AAPI Business Alliance
Carolinas Chinese Chamber of Commerce
Festival of Colombia
Filipino community
Indian Association
Indonesian community
Korean Association
LAOS Association
Latin Chamber of Commerce
My Brother’s Keeper

Town of Pineville
Vietnamese Association.
Food vendors on hand will include:
