Lizzo became the first person to play a tune on former President James Madison’s crystal flute in over two centuries.

Taking up the offer from the 14th Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden to check out the world’s largest flute collection earlier in the day, Lizzo performed with the antique artifact during her Tuesday night tour stop at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

With a few of her signature moves, the plus-sized powerhouse performed on the flute after accepting it from handlers and carrying it to the standing microphone.

Lizzo compared it to “playing out of a wine glass.”

Once the “About Damn Time” singer gave back the historical instrument, she ran back to her mic and yelled: “B—-, I just twerked and played James Madison’s crystal flute from the 1800s. We just made history tonight!”

According to the Library of Congress, French flutanist Claude Laurent crafted the ornate instrument in 1813 specifically for the ex president in honor of his second inauguration.

A three-time Grammy Award winner, Lizzo began training as a classical flutist at the age of 10 and also studied the instrument in college.

She has often played the wind instrument during her live performances.
