WOODMERE, Ohio (WJW) — Although many deserving police K-9s from across the country could’ve been chosen for a 2024 calendar featuring 12 police dogs, K-9 Revan with the Woodmere Police Department made the cut.

Officer Christopher Dotson and K-9 Revan appear in the 2024 Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. nationwide fundraising calendar.

K-9 Revan is a 5-year-old German Shepherd, certified in patrol, tracking and narcotics detection, according to Woodmere police.

“Revan has 700 hours of training, does not like taking a bath, but does like playing with his big brother Taco the Pug,” police said.

“Each year, 12 law enforcement K-9s that are recipients of vests provided by the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. are highlighted in the publication,” police said.

All proceeds from the 2024 calendar will be used to provide equipment and services for law enforcement K-9s nationwide. The nonprofit has donated 5,435 bullet and stab protective vests to K-9s in all 50 states, according to Wodmere police.
