See this loggerhead sea turtle's return to the ocean after successful surgery

A 103-pound loggerhead sea turtle that rescuers nicknamed Sweet Potato, was released back into the ocean after having an injured flipper amputated at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida.

Following weeks of recovery and rehab, the turtle was carefully carried to the water's edge on a stretcher, before being released to the sound of cheers from a crowd of onlookers.

"We are thrilled to see Sweet Potato's remarkable progress during its time in rehabilitation, and are delighted to witness its return to the ocean," said a spokesperson for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
