SEE IT: Man body slams his pit bull on crowded sidewalk

This dog deserves better. This guy does not.

Disturbing video of an unidentified man body-slamming his pit bull onto a busy sidewalk made its way to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Vancouver.

“It was horrific to see, and I’ve been doing this for 40 years,” SPCA officer Eileen Drever told CTV News.

A witness said the man also attempted to kick the rattled dog in its head and shouted it was his property and he could do with the animal as he pleased. Onlookers called 911 and police arrived to arrest the brute.

He was released without being charged, but an investigation is reportedly pending. It’s unclear what triggered the man’s actions.

“It was very disturbing, and looking at the dog’s body language, that dog is suffering psychologically as well as physically,” Drever said.

Another witness said the dog was shaking and wobbling when it walked after being slammed onto the concrete. It was taken to the Vancouver Animal Emergency Referral Centre. An officer petted the pit bull while the dog’s owner was handcuffed.

She noted the gray pit bull was nervously licking its lips and had its tail tucked between its legs. The alleged act of animal cruelty occurred in Vancouver’s Chinatown neighborhood Friday night.

Prior to being hurled into the sidewalk, the dog had lunged at a bicyclist, one passerby told CTV. That person said it appeared the owner was encouraging the animal to be aggressive.
