You can see a movie for $3 this weekend. What to know about National Cinema Day
Do you have a movie you've been wanting to see? This weekend could be your chance.
Saturday, Sept. 3 is National Cinema Day, meaning movie tickets will be just $3 at more than 3,000 theaters across the country, including Regal and AMC locations. The effort is being put on by The Cinema Foundation, a non-profit arm of the National Association of Theater Owners.
“After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” Cinema Foundation president Jackie Brenneman said in a news release. “We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”
