See ongoing construction at Vanderbilt's FirstBank Stadium as part of Vandy United

Vanderbilt has begun demolition of the south end zone at FirstBank Stadium to make room for new locker rooms, a dining facility for athletes and new premium seating as part of the Vandy United fundraising and facility upgrade campaign.

Construction on both end zones will continue through the 2023 season with those seats being unavailable during football season. Fans who hold season tickets in those locations will be relocated for the 2023 season.

Vanderbilt begun work on the north end zone, where it plans to build a new basketball operations facility, shortly after the conclusion of the 2022 season. The north end zone project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.

Other Vandy United projects that have been announced include a new football operations center and indoor practice facility, a new tennis facility and upgrades to the golf facilities. Construction on those projects has not yet begun.

As part of these projects, the section of Jess Neely Drive between 25th Avenue and Natchez Trace has also been permanently closed to vehicles. This section includes Hawkins Field, FirstBank Stadium and the McGugin Center.
