The most expensive property listed for sale in the Lake Tahoe area is a stunning waterfront home on five acres surrounded by old growth forest that was built by casino mogul Steve Wynn.
If it sells for the listing price of $76 million, the sprawling estate — known as The Old Forge Estate — with 210 feet of privately owned sandy beach will be the most expensive residential sale in Lake Tahoe history, according to listing agent Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno.
“I’ve visited many properties on Lake Tahoe and I have rarely experienced such a sense of peace and serenity as I do at The Old Forge Estate,” Perry said in an email. “It is a remarkable opportunity not likely to be seen again for a number of years.”
The gated property sits at 1041 Lakeshore Blvd. in Incline Village, Nevada, on what’s known as Billionaire’s Row. Homeowners along the strip of lakefront mansions include former junk-bond financier Michael Milken and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison.
Built by Wynn in 1994, the mansion comes with a deep-water pier, a boat hoist, a jet ski platform and two buoys.
“The home personifies quiet luxury and seamlessly blends into its natural environment, boasting unimpeded views across the untouched terrain and the vast expanse of the lake,” the property listing states.
Nora Lacey, founder of biotech company Cell Marque, and her husband, pathologist Michael Lacey, are the owners and sellers.
The main residence spans 12,661 square feet, including a large primary suite with panoramic lake views, and three other en-suite bedrooms. There is a fitness and massage room with views. The gourmet kitchen offers expansive lake and mountain vistas, as well.
