South Carolina is bracing for impact as Hurricane Ian prepares to make a second U.S. landfall Friday afternoon.

Hurricane Ian made landfall on Florida's Gulf coast Wednesday afternoon as one of the most powerful storm storms ever hit the United States. It was downgraded to a tropical storm early Thursday, but re-strengthened to a Category 1 hurricane later in the day.
