See Tennessee Titans' Malik Willis elusive TD run in NFL preseason debut

Tennessee Titans rookie QB Malik Willis' Welcome to the NFL moment was a dazzling touchdown run against the Baltimore Ravens.

Willis spun around, changed direction and made a couple Ravens tackles miss to the left for a 7-yard touchdown run for the Titans in the second quarter of Thursday's preseason opener in Baltimore.

It's the kind of highlight that many envisioned for Willis during NFL Draft preparation. But he fell into the third round of the 2022 draft, where the Titans traded up to select him at No. 86 overall.

Willis is battling Logan Woodside for the No. 2 quarterback job behind starter Ryan Tannehill. It took a couple series, including two three-and-outs and a fumble by rookie running back Julius Chestnut, to get Tennessee offense going. But Willis led a seven-play, 72-yard drive that he finished off with the aforementioned scramble.

Woodside is slated to play the second half of Thursday's game, according to the Titans' TV broadcast.
