With the Drake Relays about a week away and the state track and field meet five weeks down the road, high school track and field athletes are gearing up for the stretch run. Even though winter doesn't seem willing to release it's firm grip on the Iowa weather, times and distance are improving steadily week by week.
As of Monday, here's the top five statewide leaders in each event for Iowa high school track and field.
