Meet your Louisville high school boys athlete of the week: St. Xavier's Jeremiah Jackson
Polls closed Thursday, and Louisville high school basketball fans voted in overwhelming force to name St. Xavier's Jeremiah Johnson this week's boys Courier Journal Athlete of the Week.
A freshman on St. X's basketball team, Johnson earned a nod for a 24-point performance a week ago against Male.

Justice Decker, Manual
Justice Decker's making it count in his first season starting at Manual. The sophomore averages 10.3 points per game and has stepped up with leading scorer Damone King out (ankle). On Wednesday, Decker led the Crimsons with 17 points and eight rebounds in a 62-53 win over Eastern.
George Ferree, Trinity wrestling
Trinity senior wrestler George Ferree is the reigning state champion at 157 pounds, but he's on his way to conquering another weight class. On Saturday, Ferree beat the 165-pound field at the Trinity 6-Way dual-meet hosted at Bellarmine University.
Quel'Ron House, Seneca
Seneca's Quel'Ron House is ripping up the competiton. The 5-foot-11 guard averages 23.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. On Friday, the junior took his game on the road to district foe Trinity and led Seneca to a 66-60 win with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Jeremiah Jackson, St. Xavier
Trailing by 12 in the third quarter, St. Xavier freshman Jeremiah Jackson rallied the Tigers (11-7) to stun district foe Male 78-71 on Friday. Jackson led the Tigers with 24 points and six rebounds.
Camren Trice, Fern Creek
Fern Creek's Camren Trice scored 19 points and grabbed four rebounds Friday to help the Tigers end the week with a 70-61 win over Jeffersontown. Trice leads the Tigers in scoring (12.6 ppg) and is second on the team in rebounds (4.6 rpg).
