See where Vikings S Anthony Harris, LB Eric Wilson rank on ESPN’s free agency rankings

With several notable players becoming free agents, the Vikings will be left with some tough decisions.

LB Eric Wilson is set to become a free agent in March. Will the team retain him or choose to keep Anthony Barr and go from there? Wilson is coming off a career year and could be looking at a big contract.

S Anthony Harris is another one. He is coming off a down year, but he may command a pretty big contract still. Minnesota has a tough decision in deciding whether to keep Harris, especially when the team currently has Harrison Smith under contact.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert put Harris and Wilson in the outlet’s recent free agency rankings. Here’s what it said about the two:

Rank: 36 Harris had six interceptions in the regular season and one in the postseason during 2019. He had zero in 2020. His PFF grade dropped considerably as well. Here's what Seifert wrote:

"The Vikings made Harris a surprise target of their franchise tag after a six-interception season in 2019. Like the rest of the Vikings' defense, Harris did not match his previous year's performance and finished without a single interception. But he remains a smart and savvy defensive back with experience in a successful defense."

Rank: 50 Wilson had a great season in the pass defense. However, he struggled at times with missed tackles and his overall run defense. His PFF grade is not nearly as good as his basic stats. Here's what Seifert wrote:

"Wilson went from being a valuable backup to a 15-game starter in 2020, filling in for the injured Anthony Barr. He has enough good tape, with 122 tackles and three interceptions, to either tempt the Vikings to re-sign him as a starter or generate under-the-radar interest on the free-agent market."
