See who's running in the November General Election in Morgan County

With the exception of the school board candidates, the Nov. 8, 2022 general election ballot is complete.

Precinct committee members of the Morgan County Republican Party met Saturday, July 29 and selected Linda Pruitt to serve as the party's nominee.

The spot was vacated due to the passing of Stephanie Elliott.

Elliott was serving as the county clerk, but ran for the auditor's spot in the May primary election.

Her position was filled by Tammy Parker who is running unopposed for the clerk's position in the November election.

Candidates for school board have until Aug. 26 to file.

Candidates for national and state offices file with the state. That information is then sent to the county election office.

Township Trustees

Pruitt is the lone candidate for the Adams Township Trustee position. According to the election office, it is too late to remove her from the November ballot. She will have to resign on Dec. 31 and a caucus will elect a new trustee.

Only one township will have a competitive race as Madison Township has two candidates for trustee and four candidates for the advisory board.
