After spending the last few months recovering from health issues related to blood clots in his leg, Today show star Al Roker is officially back in action. And he's appreciating every minute of it alongside his wife of 27 years, Deborah Roberts.

In a new photo uploaded to Instagram, Deborah was spotted smiling at the camera while Al looked suspiciously at it. While it appeared that the couple was simply documenting one of their afternoons together out and about, there was a bigger purpose for Al's picture. According to the caption, the duo was just hours from moderating an Instagram Live for their followers.

"As you can tell in this photo, I am really excited about @debrobertsabc," he captioned the post on January 15. "Let’s chat this afternoon at 4pm ET when we’ll talk about everything that’s been going on. Check out her #instagramlive @debrobertsabc."

While the timeframe for the livestream came and went, Al's emotional snapshot still resonated with Today show fans. Soon after he posted the snap to his Instagram feed, folks began commenting sweet messages about the couple.

"Deb Roberts looks like the happiest girl in the world ... She loves that man," one person wrote. "😍😍😍😍 Wooohoooo!! What a great couple with a strong bond rooted in ❤️❤️," another follower replied. "I have always loved y’all as a couple ❤️❤️❤️❤️," a different fan added.

The moment happened days after they appeared on the Today show to discuss Al's long road to recovery. As Deborah pointed out during their joint January 6 appearance, viewers didn't fully know the true extent of the TV personality's health issues.

"It’s not lost on us that this is a major, major thing for Al to be here," she said on the show. "He is a living, breathing miracle. He really is. And I have to say, I’m not overstating it — I don’t think — Al was a very, very, very sick man. And I think most people did not know that."

Thankfully, Al is doing OK and he's slowly returning to his every day activities ... like sharing heartfelt moments with his wife.
