See which Wisconsin Badger is PFF’s highest-graded Power 5 OL

Wisconsin has endured a lot of shuffling along the offensive line due to illness and injuries this season. Saturday’s game against Illinois will be UW’s fourth different combination of staters in five games – not exactly ideal.

However, one good thing has come from it, UW may have found its next impact lineman with right tackle Trey Wedig.

Wedig, a redshirt sophomore from Kettle Moraine High School (Wis.), is the highest graded Power 5 offensive lineman through the season’s first four weeks (94.4).

So far, he’s played 108 snaps, filling in at right tackle, center, and as an in-line tight end in specific packages, but hasn’t allowed a single pressure.

The former top-100 recruit has played all over the offensive line dating back to camp but appears to have found a home, settling in nicely at RT.

What happens when starting right tackle Riley Mahlman returns is anyone’s guess at this point, but Wedig has undoubtedly played well since being thrust into the lineup.
