An woman speaking to a friend in Mandarin outside a Manhattan ice cream shop was slapped in the face by a bigoted bypasser as a surge of anti-Asian hate crimes continue to grip the city, officials said Thursday.

The victim, a 25-year-old Asian woman, was seated at a sidewalk table outside an ice cream shop on Grand St. near Forsythe St. near Chinatown chatting with a friend when a woman stormed up screaming at her about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.

“I don’t want you talking! Shut the f--- up!” the woman screamed. “Go back to where you came from! Go back to your country!”

The stranger started to walk away but turned back and slapped the victim in the face before storming off, startling surveillance video shows.

Her victim declined medical attention.

Cops released the surveillance video Thursday in the hopes that someone recognizes the attacker.

She is described as about 35, 5-foot-5 and 180 pounds with short black hair. She was wearing a black halter top exposing her midriff, black pants and white sneakers. She was carrying a grey coat.

Cops have logged about three dozen crimes against Asian New Yorkers this year.

Anyone with information regarding Wednesday’s attack is asked to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
