The Carriage Barn is looking for volunteers
KENSINGTON — The Carriage Barn Equine Adaptive Therapy Programs is looking for volunteers to assist with Therapeutic Horseback Riding and Carriage Driving, Fundraising, Events, and Fun Activities. Volunteers are needed at various times throughout the week to work with horses and clients.
Teens, adults and retirees welcome (volunteers must be at least 15 1/2 years old). Experience and horse knowledge is a plus, but not required. Are you a student with a community service requirement (Honor Society, Scouts, 4-H, Graduation, etc.)? If so, we would love to hear from you.

SEED Spring Mixer and online auction
DOVER — Seacoast Endowment for Education in Dover (“SEED”), a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting academic excellence in Dover schools, has announced dates for its annual fundraiser. The online auction is set to go live on Monday, April 3, and will close on Friday, April 14, with a spring mixer at the Cochecho Country Club in Dover, N.H. All proceeds will be used to underwrite innovative learning opportunities in Dover public schools.
For the first time in three years, the non-profit has planned an in-person social to complement the auction. The festive live event starts at 6:30 p.m. and will include plenty of food, music, and raffle opportunities. Tickets for the social are $75 per person and can be purchased here.
The online auction will run for only 12 days and will include hundreds of quality items including local gift cards, paddle board, boat cruise, local art, electronics, sports memorabilia, and plenty of experiences. Attorney General seeks volunteers for its Consumer Protections Hotline
CONCORD — Attorney General John M. Formella announced that his office is accepting applications for volunteers to work as Consumer Affairs Specialists in the Consumer Protection Bureau and Antitrust Bureau.
Consumer Affairs Specialists work closely with attorneys and support staff to respond to calls on the consumer protection hotline. This rewarding opportunity will provide volunteers with the chance to use their valuable life and work experiences to make a difference in the lives of New Hampshire consumers who have been victimized by unlawful business practices.
Adults of all ages are encouraged to apply. Volunteers will be asked to commit to 4 to 6 hours per week for a minimum of one year. All necessary training and mentorship will be provided. Successful candidates must pass a background check and have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience interacting with the public is a plus but is not required.

Joe B. Parks Riverwalk Public Gardens seeking garden tenders
DOVER — Are you looking for an opportunity to get outside and help your community? The Joe B. Parks Riverwalk Public Gardens is located between 400 Central Avenue and Chestnut Street along the banks of the Cochecho River. It forms a series of beautiful gardens filled with wildflowers, unique rhododendrons, mountain laurels, hosta, daylilies, and countless other plants, many relocated from Parks’ gardens.

DOVER — The NH Coalition for the Support of Service Dogs is raising funds to support service dog owners with veterinarian care, medicine, and food.

Sneaker donations wanted
HAMPTON — Hampton United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road, Hampton, is collecting gently worn, used or new sneakers. The sneakers that we collect will help raise money to support our outreach and mission projects as well as helping our environment by keeping sneakers out of landfills.
