Missing Louisville 10-year-old Kahyla Bailey found safe after search
Louisville Metro Police officials have found a preteen Black girl who went missing earlier this week, the department said.
"The 10 year old female Kahyla Bailey has been found and returned home safely," Dwight Mitchell, spokesperson for LMPD, said Saturday.
Kahyla went missing from her home in the 2100 block of St. Louis Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, according to the police department. LMPD had held a press conference Friday asking the community to look out for her, saying officers did not believe she had been abducted but that it was dangerous for a child to be alone on the street.
