Selena the Series: Who Was Selena?
The ICON! The legendary Selena Quintanilla was beloved by many and was on her way to global stardom. Her life was ended abruptly to the surprise of many fans. However, Netflix has picked up a new series to continue her legacy and share her life with fans. Today, Netflix has released the first teaser for the drama. Fans are extremely excited about this and the fans are extremely excited about the excellent job Jennifer LOPEZ did with the movie. It will be a very hard feat to overcome comparisons because Lopez embodies Selena so well.

The Netflix Series
The first teaser highlights all the things we loved about Selena. She is reading her lines on a script, has on her iconic purple bell-bottom jumpsuit and the RED LIPSTICK. The synopsis of this series will follow the late singer on her journey to stardom and her relationships with her family who make life-altering changes to her life on her journey. Is it going to be the same rehashed story or will the family include new information about the singer?Let's hope for new information and more performances!
Christian Serratos is the New Selena
The role went to Christian Serratos from the Walking Dead and Twilight. The last depiction was by Jennifer Lopez who killed this role and propelled her own career. The teaser shows the rest of the cast: her father Abraham Quintanilla, will be played by Ricardo Chavira, and her mother, Marcella, will be played by Seidy Lopez. Selena’s two siblings – A.B. and Suzette — will be performed by Gabriel Chavarria and Noemi Gonzalez.
All of these actors will have to bring it! Cause if they don't fans will be incredibly upset. Honestly, most fans will be comparing them to the 90's film. Everything has to be perfect.
Life Ended Short
The Queen of Tejano was on her way up. Tejano mixes pop and Mexican folk music. She was murdered while recording her English album Dreaming of You. It was still released, but the fans did not get to experience her sing all of these new songs live. This was able to sell so many records.
She recorded songs mixing R&B, cumbia, and pop. Jaime Davila, president of Campanario Entertainment said, “Selena is an inspirational figure who’s transcended generations. we’ve always known it was crucial for this series to find actors with the right mix of talent, charisma, and passion to honor Selena’s legacy and the story of her family".
