Draper said the company has been looking for its next space for the last few years, and Downtown Jacksonville was an obvious choice thanks to partners like VyStar and the city leaderships focus on downtown development.

"VyStar wants this to be an amazing amenity not only to their employees but to the city," he said.

Early plans for the space include a live event stage with a second-floor mezzanine to make the corner of Laura and Forsyth streets "vibrant and active."

Two nonprofits, OneJax and Level the Playing Field Leadership Academy, also plan to move into the parking garage's commercial space.
