Have you ever wanted to play "Where's Waldo?" in real life? Well, now you can with a new contest from Port Huron Town Hall.

Port Huron Town Hall is hosting a scavenger hunt contest to promote the first presentation of its four-part lecture series. The first guest will be John Lithgow, who people may recognize from his role as Winston Churchill from "The Crown" or his role as Dick Solomon from "Third Rock from the Sun." The contest starts Sunday and runs until Aug. 31.

John Lithgow attends the 11th Annual NFL Honors Post-Party: The Chairman's Party at SoFi Stadium on February 10, 2022 in Inglewood, California.

To enter the "Where's John Lithgow?" contest, people need to find the cutout using clues and upload a photo of themselves with the cutout to the Port Huron Town Hall Facebook page. People who do this will then be placed in a drawing for two free tickets to Lithgow's lecture on Sept. 11.

Town Hall Chairperson of Public Relations and Special Promotions Susan Tisdel said tickets for Lithgow's lecture are already selling and there's lots of interest. Assistant Chairperson Colleen Everitt said Port Huron Town Hall is excited to bring Lithgow to Port Huron.

"This is a huge guest for us because he is so iconic," Everitt said. "He's done so many films and stage work, and he's written children's books. We are just thrilled to have him."

The Port Huron Town Hall Board chooses four guest speakers to come to McMorran Plaza to give a lecture every year. Each lecture takes place at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of each month from September to December. Port Huron Town Hall brings speakers from different genres, occupations and backgrounds to speak for an hour.

Tisdel said that while Lithgow's lecture topic isn't known yet, Port Huron Town Hall is very excited to have him speak to the public.

"We're ready to be surprised and we'll be pleased with what he has to bring us," she said.

The remaining speakers include HGTV personality Alison Victoria on Oct. 9, author John O'Leary on Nov. 13 and singer, songwriter Barbara Peyton on Dec. 11.

Tisdel said the cutout will be hidden in places that are popular to the area. She said Port Huron Town Hall did not want to make the contest too difficult for people.
