  • Selma Blair posted a sweet Instagram tribute to her horse, Sky Top.

  • She said she was only able to ride him for a short period of time before she “couldn’t even get to him or stay on.”

  • Selma vowed to rise Sky Top again as she continues treatment for her multiple sclerosis.

It’s no secret that Selma Blair is seriously in love with horses. But in a new Instagram post, she gives a sweet shout-out to her horse Sky Top, and his positive role in her health.

“After I gave birth and felt half dead all the time, after the rage and the tears, after my heart exploded with caring and understanding, before any diagnosis, I searched for this horse,” she captioned a shot of herself kissing Sky Top, a.k.a. Mr. Nibbles.

Selma said “the only place I was really growing with self love” was at her equestrian center, and pointed out that her trainer found Sky Top for her. “He needed to be able to handle kisses. Prerequisite. Truly. And he did,” she said.

But Selma said she “only had a short time” with Sky Top before she “couldn’t even get to him or stay on.” Still, she says “he has come so far.”

“Even though I may seem like I have gone farther away, I am learning and getting healthier,” she wrote. ICYMI: Selma was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year after years of unexplained symptoms.

“I will jump this horse around again,” she vowed. “I have the unicorn. Now I have to be able to find him again.”

People were blown away in the comments. “Sorry Selma, I’ve got no words, just tears,” one wrote. “You really are an inspiration. And Mr Nibbles is a stunning creature,” another said.

This isn’t Selma’s first post about Sky Top and the impact he's had on her life. Back in May, Selma shared a bunch of sweet photos of herself with the horse, saying that he “inspires” her:

She also said earlier that month that she “married up” when she got him, but admitted that he can be a "punk":

Now that's love.
