A semitrailer split in half after a bridge collapsed into a Missouri river, photos show.
The semi truck driver was attempting to cross the one-lane bridge over the Maries River in Osage County on Monday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The truck was hauling 40,000 pounds of feed, and the weight limit of the bridge was 10,000 pounds, police say. It broke as the truck began to drive over it.

Unit was carrying feed. Preliminary info indicates it had at least 40,000 lbs. in cargo, not including the weight of truck & trailer. Bridge is posted at 5 tons.

No one was injured, police say.
The road is closed, and the investigation was ongoing.
Another photo shows the truck broken in half, with the front part in water and the back half dangling above.

The bridge was near Westphalia, a town southeast of Jefferson City.
