Seminole teachers 65 and older can get COVID-19 vaccine

Some Seminole County school teachers will soon be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

The Seminole County school district announced its plans to begin distributing COVID-19 vaccination doses next week to employees age 65 and older.

Teachers interested in doing so can make an appointment on Jan. 20 and go to Lyman High School where they will receive the first dose. The second dose will be given on Feb. 20.

No walk-ins will be accepted. Shots are voluntary, and the district plans to administer 300 doses.

Employees will be given time off to receive the vaccination.
