The “Traylor” craze has reached the Senate.

Sen. Mitt Romney ditched his typical suit and joined in on the fun this Halloween. The Utah senator and his wife Ann dressed up as Travis Kelce from the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor Swift, America’s sweetheart, who are reportedly dating. They revealed their couple’s costume in an Instagram post.

Romney wore Kelce’s Chiefs No. 87 jersey and carried a football in his hand. His wife wore a cheerleading outfit and a pair of sunglasses. Her hairstyle was in Swift’s casual style — blonde locks let loose and bangs combed out.

He captioned the photo, “It’s a love story, baby, just say yes,” along with musical notes, appropriate for the pair that has been married for over 50 years. The post instantly earned praise from commentators, who replied with heart emojis. One user even said the post gave him hope for America.

Aside from the costume, Romney is taking on the responsibility of leading the “Bipawtisan Howl-o-ween Dog Parade” on Tuesday.

Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., was supposed to host the Halloween party for dogs on Capitol Hill but he said he was sick with COVID-19.

The Utah Republican said he was “honored to lead” the dog parade, and said he was “praying for a speedy recovery” for his friend.

Last year, Romney was dressed as Ted Lasso, a fictional character from a comedy series streamed on Apple TV+. He accessorized his Real Salt Lake jersey with a whistle and a thick stick-on mustache.

But that’s not all he did. After delivering some of Lasso’s famous lines — like “Your body is like day-old rice. If it ain’t warmed up properly, something real bad can happen” — and taping up the show’s iconic “believe” poster above his office door, he delivered cookies to his friend, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., as Lasso does for his boss on the show. Romney embodied Lasso for the day.

The first family also celebrated Halloween by inviting trick-or-treaters to the White House, which was decorated with famous literary characters, on Monday.

President Joe Biden wore a suit and a striped tie while first lady Jill Biden transformed into Willow, the White House cat, with the help of some facepaint and cat ears. An estimated 8,000 guests attended the event, which featured a “spooky story time” with the first lady, who read “Ten Spooky Pumpkins,” as Axios reported.
