Apr. 5—VERNON — Sen. Chris Murphy, D-CT, praised Vernon's nationally recognized vaccination efforts Monday during a visit to a clinic at the Senior Center.

"Since the beginning, Vernon has been a model for how to implement a successful vaccination program," he said.

Murphy's comments came after his participation in roundtable discussion including Mayor and Sate Sen. Daniel Champagne, R-Vernon; Town Administrator Michael Purcaro; North Central District Health Department Director Patrice Sulik; and other local leaders.

In addition to regular clinics at the Senior Center, Vernon has brought mobile clinics to homebound residents and recently partnered with local businesses to vaccinate their employees at the workplace.
