Sen. Tim Scott predicts more Black people will vote for Trump in 2020

On the morning after he spoke on the opening night of the Republican National Convention, Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina tells TODAY that even though polls show President Trump behind, “the polls were off in 2016” and adds that he believes “the debates will be the determining factor in how this election turns out.” He also says that he’s “encouraged that we will see an increased number of African Americans voting for the president and the Republican ticket.”
