Senate Republicans block legislation to create Jan. 6 commission

By a vote of 54-35, a bill to create a bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was blocked. Though six Republicans joined Democrats to vote for the bill, 35 Republicans voted against it and stopped it from reaching the 60-vote threshold to pass.
