Blennerhassett Island

This trip is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 29.

We will depart from Point Park, Parkersburg, West Virginia at 11 a.m. on the Island Belle Sternwheeler.

Upon arrival at the Island we will enjoy a box lunch. When making your trip reservation, please select lunch of either ham and cheese sub or turkey and cheese sub.

After lunch we are off to experience a Guided Mansion Tour and then enjoy a Horse Drawn Wagon Tour.  We will return to Parkersburg for a visit to the Blennerhassett Museum.

By this time it will be getting toward supper time and we will head to J.P. Henry’s Restaurant where we will enjoy one of the following dinner selections which includes baked potato, side salad and a non-alcohol beverage: Smothered chicken (chicken breast seared with sautéed onion, peppers and mushrooms. Topped with cheese and tomatoes. Served over pasta); Breaded shrimp; Breaded white fish; New York strip steak and teriyaki glazed salmon

Please make your supper choice when making your reservation.

Depart from the Center at 6:45 a.m.(report/loading time beginning at 6:30 a.m.)

(Quick stop will be made enroute for coffee and use of facilities.) Arrive back to the Center at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Cost is $139 per person. Includes round-trip motor coach – round-trip Sternwheeler – all admissions – box lunch – early  supper – all gratuities applicable to inclusions.


ZuZu Acrobats

Join us Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 as we travel to Sugarcreek to the Ohio Star Theater for a live performance of the ZuZu Acrobats.

ZuZu Acrobats exhibit gravity defying stunts while simultaneously displaying the beauty of the Tanzanian culture of East Africa.

This interactive 90-minute show includes human pyramids, dish spinning, stick balance, contortion, chair balance, unicycling, juggling, hand to hand balance, pole acts, hoop diving, as well as comedy and more.

Each acrobat has graduated from the Baba Watoto School for Performing Arts, which is internationally renowned for producing the highest-quality performers.

The cast consists of 14 performers: nine acrobats, three dancers and two musicians.

We will enjoy a 3 p.m. buffet-dinner at the Dutch Valley Restaurant, on its campus, after the performance.

We will depart for home after a bit of shopping in a variety of stores on their campus.

Depart from the Senior Center at 10 a.m. (report/loading time beginning at 9:30 a.m.) Arrive back to the Center at approximately 7:15 p.m. Cost is $100 per person. Includes roundtrip motor coach – show – buffet dinner – all gratuities applicable to inclusions

When making your reservations, please advise if you will be traveling alone; if you have a traveling partner; or if you are traveling with a group.

Upon arrival at the Center the morning of the bus trip, please park in the parking lot at the front of the building — at the corner of West Tenth Street and Wick Avenue.
