The top four seeds are Texas, Baylor, Iowa State and Oklahoma State.

The same 18 holes will be played during each round using a combination of the Ironwood and Acacia courses. Ironwood 1 will be considered as hole No. 1, and Acacia 1 will be designated as hole No. 10.

Tech track & field

Texas Tech competes this weekend in Arizona's Jim Click Multis and Shootout at Drachman Stadium in Tucson, Arizona.

In addition to Arizona and Tech, teams from Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Nebraska and UCLA are entered along with additional individual entrants.

The Red Raiders are sending primarily their pole vaulters and throwers as well as a few track athletes.

"We kind of handpick people that didn't get to run (last week) at Texas Relays or maybe just had one round," Tech coach Wes Kittley said. "Florida the next week and California are going to be unbelievably tough, so we're going to just train this week with the group that really worked hard at the Texas Relays and run the ones that didn't get worked hard."

The other two meets Kittley referenced are the Bryan Clay Invitational April 13-15 in Azusa, California, and the Tom Jones Memorial April 14-15 in Gainesville, Florida.

Kittley said Sidney Sapp, the Big 12 champion outdoor in the women's high jump last year, likely will miss the outdoor season with the shin injury that kept her from competing in the Big 12 indoor championships.

Ruta Lasmane, the four-time first-team all-American in the triple jump, likely will compete for the first time in 2023 at Baylor's Michael Johnson Invitational April 21-22 in Waco, Kittley said. She's been out with a stress reaction in her back.
