Several high-ranking Russian officers were killed during a strike by the Defense Forces on a Russian military base in Skadovsk, Kherson Oblast, Radio Liberty journalist Mark Krutov reported on X (Twitter) on Nov. 9.

The journalist, citing the geolocation of the impact site, noted that the second floor of a two-story brick building had been destroyed.

Earlier, reports of a strike on the base of the Russian occupation forces in Skadovsk on Nov. 9 surfaced online. Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, wrote that the building of the former Soviet Ukraine collective farm was hit in Skadovsk. At least 15 Russian troops were reportedly wounded, and five more were killed.

Volodymyr Saldo, the Kremlin puppet governor in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson Oblast, claimed that a missile "hit a detached housing neighborhood."
