Jun. 10—MARLBOROUGH — Alex Brett singled and scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday night as the Tri- County 19- U Senior American Legion team dropped a 4- 1 Zone 3 decision to Glastonbury at West Road Memorial Field.

Joshua Wagner (single) and Mike Poncini (triple) also had hits for Tri-County (1-1).

JUNIOR LEGION (17-U) Oliver Ross had two hits and a RBI and Tri-County pushed across a run in the bottom of the ninth inning to walk off with a 2- 1 Zone 3 victory over RCP ( Rocky Hill- Cromwell-Portland) in its season opener Tuesday night in Marlborough.

R.J. Stanford also had two hits, including a double, while Avery Gugliotti also scored a run for Tri- County. Aidan Fritz allowed two hits, struck out four and hit a batter in 3.1 innings of relief to pick up the win on the mound.

Lyman Memorial's Ben Darrow struck out seven, walked one and scattered four hits in 5.2 innings of work.
