SeptemberFest celebrates 54 years of tradition and welcomes artists from around the country

Sep. 21—MIDLAND — The Museum of the Southwest has scheduled SeptemberFest Friday, September 29, to Sunday, October 1.

Keeping with tradition, the celebration will begin with the Preview Party on Friday, September 29, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and give guests a first look at the opening of "Warhol x Scholder: Cowboys & Indians," that delves into the mythology of the American West as represented in the work of these two contemporaneous 20th-century artists.

Gates will open on campus from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 29, and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 1. Fifty artists from around the country will be featured including painters, jewelry makers, water feature artists, glass artists, and many more. Artist demonstrations will be offered throughout the day.

It is fun for the entire family with KinderFest—don't miss out on art activities including Spin Art bikes, art projects, face painting, and much more.

Admission to campus buildings is included with your festival tickets. Food trucks will be on site Saturday and Sunday, so stop by and support your local vendors as well.

Tables and tickets for the Preview Party and the weekend activities are still available. Preview Party tables and tickets should be purchased in advanced. Daily festival admission tickets may also be purchased at the gate. For more information, please visit museumsw.org/septemberfest or email [email protected].
