The first-round match between Serena Williams, who's preparing to retire, and Emma Raducanu has been moved to Tuesday at the Western & Southern Open "on account of a number of factors related to scheduling," the tournament announced late Sunday.

Williams, 40, and Raducanu, 19, were originally slotted to play on Monday night, but there were multiple rain delays on Sunday.

Serena Williams beat Ana Ivanovic, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2, during the Western and Southern Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason Friday August 19, 2015. Williams advances to the semi-finals.

Williams recently announced that she will be retiring.

"I think it's going to be an exciting match," Raducanu told the media Sunday. "I'm looking forward to it. I think it's an amazing opportunity to play one of the best, probably the best tennis player of all time. It's probably gonna be my last opportunity to ever play her and I think that for our careers to have crossed over I'm really fortunate I get to play her. Whatever happens, I think it's just going to be an incredible experience for me and something that I really will probably remember for the rest of my life."
