Serial beer theft suspect arrested in Broward

Trouble is brewing for a serial beer bandit arrested for at least seven thefts at stores in North Lauderdale and Tamarac, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Damian St. Aubyn Fuller, 43, was caught in the act when deputies spotted him leaving a CVS pharmacy at 3915 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, detectives said.

He was walking toward a 2013 black Nissan Altima in the parking lot carrying cases of beer. The Nissan matched the description of a car seen at the scenes of several other beer thefts around Broward County.

Deputies questioned him and learned the beer cases were stolen so Fuller was taken into custody. He later admitted to stealing beer at seven stores since October, investigators said.

Fuller is suspected of committing similar beer thefts throughout Broward, so detectives are comparing notes with other police agencies to help solve those cases. They are also looking at surveillance videos from some of those stores that allegedly show Fuller stealing cases of beer.

So far, Fuller is facing 11 charges including petit theft and cocaine possession. He is being held in the Broward County Jail on bonds totaling $675, records show.
