SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A new docuseries about wives in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are also “swingers” may be coming to Hulu, according to Deadline.

The new series, titled “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is currently in the works, according to Rob Mills, EVP, Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television.

“We have a show that we’re working on now that we’re excited about, which is about a group of Mormon wives who are also swingers,” Mills said at a Realscreen event in New Orleans.

The show is reportedly being produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, the company behind Netflix’s “Bling Empire.”

And it wouldn’t be the first series to be released about the LDS Church. Hulu put out “Mormon No More” in 2022, a four-part docuseries about two Latter-day Saints women who divorced their husbands and married each other after falling in love.

Another series called “Daughters of the Cult” came out just this month — a five-episode look into the history of the “polygamous Ervil LeBaron cult” which broke off from the LDS Church, told mainly through the eyes of two of LeBaron’s daughters.

“Under the Banner of Heaven” also came out in 2022, based on the book of the same name by Jon Krakauer. The series covers the 1984 Utah murder of Brenda Lafferty and her infant daughter Erica.

Netflix also released “Murder Among the Mormons” in 2021 — a three-part documentary series directed by Jared Hess and Tyler Measom, examining a trio of bombings in 1985 that killed two people and shocked Salt Lake City.

More details about Hulu’s possible new series have not yet been released.
