Sesame Place Adds Drive-Thru Attraction For Halloween 2020

LANGHORNE, PA — Sesame Place is adding a kid-friendly drive-through experience to its Halloween offerings for 2020.

In addition to the Langhorne park's annual The Count's Halloween Spooktacular, this year, the park also is offering The Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Drive-Thru.

The drive-through is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday in October.

From their own vehicles, guests will travel through a kid-friendly Halloween-themed experience that includes a special soundtrack, festive decorations, millions of lights and Sesame Street characters dressed up in costumed on their Halloween-themed floats.

"This is an exciting new way for families to experience Halloween at Sesame Place as we look to provide options with enhanced health and safety measures to visit our park," said Sesame Place Park President Cathy Valeriano. "In addition to the drive-through experience, all of our rides, dines and shops are open during The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular each weekend as well."

The 30-minute drive-through will start with a game of "Eye Spy" as they head toward the park's entrance. Kids and parents can try to find the 13 Halloween-themed objects hidden along the way while tuned to The Count's Not-Too-Spooky Howl-O-Ween radio show on a special Sesame Place radio station.

There is a 50-foot tunnel made up of millions of lights that resemble the night sky. Masks are not required while in your vehicle, but they are required at transaction points like admission, gift shops and food places.

Tickets for the drive-through are separate from park admission and are $35 per vehicle for non-season pass holders and $28 for season pass members.

The Count's Halloween Spooktacular has this year been modified with enhanced health and safety measures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Guests are invited to attend in costume for physically distanced trick-or-treating, Halloween-themed shows, a Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt, pumpkin decorating, rides and more.
