Seth Rogen and Ted Cruz War on Twitter Covering Everything from Paris Climate Accord to Disney's Fantasia

Seth Rogen and Senator Ted Cruz did not mince words on Twitter when it came to their differing political opinions.

Their disagreements erupted when the 38-year-old actor called Cruz, 50, a "fascist" after the Texas senator tweeted about President Joe Biden's decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord on Wednesday.

Biden's move, Cruz tweeted, "indicates he's more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. This agreement will do little to affect the climate and will harm the livelihoods of Americans."

The Paris climate agreement is a United Nations convention focused on limiting global warming around the world and aimed at strengthening countries' ability to deal with the impacts of climate change. The agreement is named after the city where world leaders negotiated the agreement in 2015 and it was signed by President Barack Obama, according to USA Today.

Rogen tweeted a reply, writing, "F— off you fascist," to which Cruz called the actor's response a "charming, civil, educated response," and adding, "If you're a rich, angry Hollywood celebrity, today's Dems are the party for you. If you're blue-collar, if you're a union member, if you work in energy or manufacturing...not so much."

In June 2017, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. would cease all participation in the landmark 2015 agreement, which he described as being unfair to American businesses. The process to rejoin the accord will take 30 days.

Joe Biden's first day as president was full of traditional ceremonies and events in Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Rogen and Cruz continued trading insults on Twitter for days. Their disagreement reached new heights on Thursday when Cruz responded to an MGM tweet asking followers about the first film they saw in theaters.

Cruz tweeted, "Fantasia. It was playing at a film revival. It scared me; I cried—I was 4. My mom had to take me out. Good times."

On Friday, Rogen replied, "Everyone who made that film would hate you." A day later, Cruz wrote back, "They're all dead. So I think we're good. And Walt Disney was a Republican."

In a separate tweet, Rogen wrote, "All jokes aside, @tedcruz is a fascist piece of s—."

Cruz hit back with, "All jokes aside, @Sethrogen is a moron. It's your party that believes in govt power: to shut your business, to oppress your faith & to censor your speech. Anyone who disagrees, they try to cancel. BTW, a lot of folks in Hollywood are conservative—& muzzled by the fascist Left."

Later on, Rogen protested the term "feud" for the back and forth between him and the senator, tweeting on Sunday, "This isn't a Twitter "feud." @tedcruz tried to overthrow our government. He inspired a deadly mob to storm the Capitol. And I think that deserves ridicule. So f— him."
