SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan and Spotify Singles have collaborated to bring a unique take on Harry Styles’ hit song “As It Was.”

The exclusive Spotify single comes paired with a special video and exclusive interview accessible on Spotify’s website K-pop ON! Track.

In a press release about the cover, Seungkwan said, “When it comes to covers, I like to challenge myself with songs that are different from my usual genre and style as an artist. ‘As It Was’ by Harry Styles has been my go-to song for the last couple of months, so I hope they enjoy this single as much as I did creating it.”

This is the latest single from a SEVENTEEN member following Jun’s solo song “Limbo,” which was released last week.

SEVENTEEN are currently on the Southeast Asia leg of their “BE THE SUN” world tour and recently finished performing in Jakarta. They are also scheduled to visit Bangkok, Manila and Singapore. NextShark reviewed their Seattle concert last month and called them “nothing short of iridescent with a spectrum of a showman’s spark.”

Coinciding with their tour was the release of their July album “SECTOR 17,” led by the title track “_WORLD.” It is a repackage of their May album “FACE THE SUN,” which helped the group reach their highest peak yet at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Last month, they released a collaboration version of “_WORLD” with British pop singer Anne-Marie. Around that time, the 13-member group also made K-pop history at the 2022 MTV VMAs by becoming the first K-pop act to win Push Performance of the Year.
