Bands on the Beach

7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 12. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Horseshoe Kitty. 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14. Jackson's Steakhouse, 400 S. Palafox St. Bastille Day is the French national holiday, la Fête du 14 juillet. It commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, an act that led to the conclusion of the French Revolution and the beginning of French independence. With Bastille Day serving as the inspiration for the tasting, Jean Pierre N’Dione has hand selected four stellar French wines to complement a selection of classic French dishes as prepared by Chef Irv Miller. Tunes by the Dunes Concert Series

Gallery Night Pensacola is a nonprofit organization with a dedicated goal of inspiring culture, engagement, and the practice of arts of all types in an entertaining event for all ages and walks of life. These monthly events focus on specific themes, highlight featured artists, and recruit the best creators the area has to offer. This month’s theme is the Motorin’ Car Show. Pensacola Humane Society Doggie Bathe-In

9 a.m. Saturday, July 16. Pensacola Humane Society, 5 North Q St. The Pensacola Humane Society’s bathe-ins offer low-cost dog bathing and flea dips during the warm weather season. In addition to providing a service to pet owners, the bathe-ins are an important fundraising activity for the Humane Society, providing a substantial portion of the shelter’s revenue. 10th annual Murble Tournament

Noon, registration; 1:15 p.m., tournament; Saturday, July 16. Bayview Park, 2001 E. Lloyd St. Murbles is an outdoor game that the whole family can play and enjoy. 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16. Coastal County Brewing Co., 3041 E. Olive Road. Emerald Coast Villains and the Gulf Coast Kids House presents Beards & Brews fundraiser celebrating Emerald Coast Villain’s five year anniversary. This is a family friendly event featuring a beard and mustache competition, 50/50 and raffles. Proceeds benefit the Gulf Coast Kids House. $15. More info: 850-905-8569.

And as a special treat, The Great Saenger Pipe Organ will be played by the Pensacola Children’s Chorus’s executive director, Alex Gartner, beginning at 6 p.m. for each movie for a full hour.  This week features Titanic. Florida's Territorial Bicentennial Celebration: Closing Event

6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17. Museum Plaza, behind the Pensacola Museum of History. The main Bicentennial Celebration took place on Saturday, July 17, 2021 — exactly 200 years after the exchange for the Spanish and American flags — in Museum Plaza with a formal program, historical reenactments and plaque dedication. It is with this in mind, that the 200th Anniversary Commission will have a final celebration, closing out of the commemoration. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic down for an evening of fun and live music. Judy Bense will welcome and invite Mayor Grover Robinson and Chief Dan Helms, Santa Rosa Creek Tribe, to help close out the year-long celebration. Free. More info: historicevents@uwf.edu.
