A seven-year-old girl in Detroit, Michigan, enthusiastically portrayed Congresswoman Maxine Waters in an adorable video posted to her mother’s Facebook page.
Kenya White filmed her daughter Rosie portraying Waters. White told Storyful that Rosie saw a news clip about Maxine Waters on YouTube and said, “Wow she’s like a principal at my school. She DON’T play!”
“I am considered by many to be one of the most powerful women of American politics,” Rosie says in the video.
ROSIE WHITE: I am Maxine Waters. I have been a proudly serving the people of California 43rd district since 1991. The young people call me Auntie Maxine. I am considered by many to be one of the most powerful women of American politics.
I am a fearless, outspoken advocate for woman, children, poor, and people's color. Nobody should be surprised about me! I made history as the first-- I made history as the first woman and first Black Chair of the House Financial Service Community-- me, Maxine Waters.
