Seven Port Huron businesses cited for selling vaping and tobacco products to minors

Seven Port Huron businesses were cited Monday for selling vaping and tobacco products to minor decoys in a Port Huron Police Department compliance operation.

During the operation, the police department sent underage decoys to 36 Port Huron businesses to conduct a compliance check on the sale of vaping and tobacco products to minors. Of those businesses, 29 were found to be in compliance, according to the Port Huron Police Department.

Seven businesses were not in compliance and cited for selling tobacco and vaping products to a minor:

  • Ryan’s Party Store, 1837 Pine Grove Ave.

  • Joe’s Party Stop, 2304 Hancock St.

  • Lighthouse Party Store, 2740 Gratiot Ave.

  • Good Times Smoke Shop, 2004 10th St.

  • Express Liquor, 1846 Lapeer Ave.

  • Top Shelf Hookah and Smoke Shop, 1526 10th St.

  • Exxon, 1035 Lapeer Ave.

"The Port Huron Police Department would like to thank all of the businesses that were foundto be in compliance and encourage all businesses to check ID’s to prevent the use of tobaccoand vaping products by underage minors," the department said in a press release.
