Seven years since Pulse: These events are happening during Pulse remembrance week
Next month marks seven years since the Pulse nightclub shooting.
onePULSE Foundation, the nonprofit established following the June 12, 2016 tragedy to honor and preserve the legacy of those killed, released a full calendar of events happening during Pulse Remembrance Week.

Seventh Annual 4.9K CommUNITY Rainbow Run presented by Orlando Health & Hard Rock International: 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Wadeview Park and the PNC Bank Virtual Run from anywhere in the world. For more information and to register, click here.
Community Rainbow Run Blood Drive with OneBlood: From 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, The Big Red Bus will be at Wadeview Park. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card, OneBlood Limited Edition Pulse T-shirt, and wellness check. Donors can make an appointment by clicking here.

The Rose Dynasty Foundation Big Love Bake Sale: From noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, at the Art/ifact Studio in Lakeland. The Rose Dynasty Foundation is a local nonprofit that mentors LGBTQ+ youth and youth on the autism spectrum. They raise funds primarily with family-friendly drag shows, dinner shows, and variety shows that provide a safe space for all people no matter their gender, race, sexual orientation and/or religion. Together with over 15 local bakers and makers, they will be selling pastries, coffee and more. Live performances from Rose Dynasty and friends and raffles. This is a family-friendly event. Weekly Momma and Friends Charity Bingo: 8 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, at Quinteassense in Lakeland. The event is hosted by Lux. Proceeds will go to CampOut. For more information, click here.

Legacy Work: Starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, this event is intended for staff members of organizations that support survivors and community members affected by the Pulse tragedy seven years ago. It will be facilitated by an experienced, licensed mental health provider focusing on Legacy projects. The purpose is to have time to acknowledge not only the impacts of the tragedy on professional and personal lives, but to identify all the work that has been done through many efforts and initiations that have supported survivors and the community. Pulse memorial crosses: The Orange County Regional History Center will host the Pulse memorial crosses from Saturday, June 10, through Monday, June 12, in honor of the 49 lives taken and all others impacted in the Pulse nightclub shooting. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Monday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the museum will be free during this time. For more information, click here.
2023 Zebra Youth Pride Prom: Old Hollywood: From 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at the Orlando Museum of Art. The prom is open to LGBTQ+ youth, ages 14-20 and the theme is “Old Hollywood, The Golden Age.” The dress code is semi-formal to formal and all forms of gender expression are welcomed. Youths under age 18 are required to submit a parental consent form, which will be sent upon registration. There is a suggested donation of $15 to help offset the cost of hosting Pride Prom. Dru Project Annual Scholarship Award Event: Noon on Sunday, June 11, at the Hammered Lamb. A drag brunch to announce this year’s scholarship award recipients and raise funds to support next year’s awards and our Gay Straight Alliance club grant program. For more details, click here.

Momma and Friends Pride: 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, at Art/ifact Studio in Lakeland. Hosted by Momma Ashley Rose with special guests Miss Rose Dynasty 2023 Juno Vibranz, Mistah Aphrodite, Jessa Belle Light, Keirra Ka’oir Summers. Proceeds go to the Rose Dynasty Foundation to help with security for their events. Tickets are on sale now here.

49 Bells at First UMC Orlando: 4 p.m. on Monday, June 12. The annual 49 Bells Ceremony is held in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church of Orlando, 142 E. Jackson St., Orlando. For more information, click here.
Seven-Year Pulse Remembrance Ceremony: 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 12, in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The ceremony can also be viewed live on the onePULSE Foundation Facebook page. To reserve a free seat, click here.

Inspiration Orlando United Mural: Free event at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 12, at the Orlando Museum of Art. The mural will also be on display in the rotunda of the Orlando Museum of Art from Tuesday, June 13, through Friday, June 16, during regular museum hours. The mural was created by Michael Pilato, Yuriy Karabash, and Chimene Hurst in tribute of the people whose lives were taken during the Pulse nightclub shooting. Remembrance Day Memorial Blood Drive with OneBlood: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 12. The Big Red Bus will be parked in front of First United Methodist Church on South Magnolia Avenue. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card, OneBlood limited edition PULSE T-shirt and wellness check. Donors can make an appointment here.
Community Care Rooms: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13. Community Care rooms will be available after the Pulse remembrance to debrief with other responders, administrative staff and the community to come together.
New Moon Yoga: Noon on Sunday, June 18. New moon yoga for Pulse remembrance is an event created for community members to practice restorative yoga to channel intentions seven years after the Pulse tragedy. Participants will pause to acknowledge thier emotions and sow seeds of hope and transformation. Contact info@qlatinx.org for details.
