Several I-90 closures scheduled during busy sports weekend

With several closures scheduled along Interstate 90 this weekend, the Washington State Department of Transportation is advising travelers to leave early.

And with several sporting events and concerts, travelers may want to consider leaving earlier to avoid the construction.

Eastbound Interstate 90 between East Sunset Way/Highlands Drive and Preston will have two lanes closed from 7 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday.

Multiple lanes are scheduled to close along State Route 900 between Interstate 405 and Lake Washington Boulevard/Garden Avenue North from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.

There are a few Interstate 90 ramp closures scheduled too, from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday: 17th Avenue Northwest/State Route 900 to the westbound Interstate 90 on-ramp, East Sunset Way to the eastbound Interstate 90 on-ramp, and High Point to the eastbound Interstate 90 on-ramp.

Friday, 6:40 p.m. - Seattle Mariners vs. St. Louis Cardinals at T-Mobile Park.

Friday, 8 p.m. - NCT Dream concert at Climate Pledge Arena.

Saturday, 12:30 p.m. - OL Reign vs. Chicago Red Stars at Lumen Field.

Saturday, 1 p.m. - UW Spring Football at Husky Stadium.

Saturday, 1:10 p.m. - Seattle Mariners vs. St. Louis Cardinals at T-Mobile Park.

Saturday, 7:30 p.m. - Seattle Sounders FC vs. Minnesota United FC at Lumen Field.

Saturday, 7 p.m. - Seattle Kraken vs. Colorado Avalanche at Climate Pledge Arena.

Sunday, 4 p.m. - Seattle Sea Dragons vs. Vegas Vipers at Lumen Field.

Sunday, 7 p.m. - Gipsy Kings concert at WAMU Theater.
