Several businesses sponsor summer sports at Monroe Family YMCA

The Monroe Family YMCA recently announced the sponsors of its summer youth T-ball, boys baseball and girls softball leagues.

In partnership with the City of Monroe’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Y assumed responsibility of organizing these community recreation leagues this year.

“We are incredibly appreciative of these local businesses’ generosity and support,” Hawk Mielke, community recreation and youth sports director, said. “The Y provides inclusive programming to encourage all kids to reach their full potential. Sponsorship allow us to keep registration fees low to ensure financial hardship is not a barrier to participation.”

T-ball sponsors are: Ball, Shanaman and Tenorio; Bitter Pill Customs; Dansard-Little Insurance Agency; DeVelopment Group, LLC; Dundee Ace Hardware; Edward Jones-Shawn Siddall, financial advisor; EXP Realty-Corey Welch, Realtor; Humana-Jon McLanahan, agent; Key Bank; Lawyers Title Agency of Monroe; Monroe’s Best Car Wash; Mohr Budds Law, PLLC; State Farm-Ben Torres, agency; Thrift Shop Association of Monroe, and VFW Post 1138.

Boys baseball sponsors are: Ball, Shanaman and Tenorio; Key Bank; Lather Grooming Salon; Mohr Budds Law, PLLC, and Kiwanis Club of Monroe (in memory of Rick Montcalm).

Girls softball sponsors are: Ball, Shanaman and Tenorio; Key Bank; Kiwanis Club of Monroe (in memory of Rick Montcalm)
