Several dirt bikes stolen from South Shore towns

Authorities are investigating after several dirt bikes were stolen from two South Shore towns on Monday.

Both Plymouth Police and Scituate Police took reports for stolen dirt bikes between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Officials say the thieves used a U-Haul truck to carry the bikes away.

In total, 7 bikes were taken between the two towns.

The bikes snatched in Plymouth came from a Columbia Road address and a Dartmouth Road address, with one house losing three bikes at once. The bikes are described as a KTM 450, 2007 KTM 125, and a 2009 KX 65.

There are no known suspects at this time and anyone with information is asked to call police.

Officials are also urging area residents to lock up their bikes in a garage or shed.
