Several Injured as Superyacht Falls on Its Side in Genoa Dry Dock

At least four people were injured when Nero, a luxury superyacht, tilted in a dry dock in Genoa, Italy, on September 10. Emergency services personnel helped evacuate the people on board.

Footage by Vigili del Fuoco shows the 296-foot superyacht overturned in a dry dock of Amico & Co ship repair yard.

According to local media, the vessel tilted when a support panel failed as the yacht was being relaunched.

Nero, built in 2007, had six guest cabins and was available for charter for about $546,000 per week, according to Burgess Yachts. Credit: Vigili del Fuoco via Storyful
