Jun. 10—Three site administrators from Righetti, Delta and Pioneer Valley high schools were promoted to administrative roles in the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District by the district board Tuesday.

The board also approved the placement of new two principals and four assistant principals, according to district spokesman Kenny Klein.

Starting July 1, Righetti Principal Karen Rotundi will serve as the district's new director of Teaching and Learning. Delta Principal Sal Reynoso will work as the director of certificated Human Resources, and Pioneer Valley Assistant Principal Matt Stockton will act as the director of Instructional Technology.

"After conducting extensive interviews, these candidates set themselves apart," said Kevin Platt, district assistant superintendent of Human Resources. "We are thrilled and excited for these leaders to move into their new positions within the district."

Lakeview Junior High Principal Ted Lyon will become the new Righetti principal, and the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District's Director of Human Services Nate Maas will fill the vacant principal role at Delta, according to Klein.

New assistant principals also were approved for Santa Maria, Righetti and Pioneer Valley on Tuesday. Tim Vincent, a middle school teacher in the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, will be the Saints' assistant principal, while Pioneer Valley will fill the role with the school's AVID and social studies teacher Kevin Ilac.

Righetti's two new assistant principals will be school counselor Jose Pereyra and Fresno Unified School District teacher Jeremy Shipman.
