Multiple Subway locations close temporarily in Peoria and surrounding areas
In Peoria and the surrounding area, multiple Subway locations are temporarily closed.
Five of the restaurants affected were in the city of Peoria. Washington, Morton, Chillicothe, Elmwood and Eureka each have one closure, as well. It is not immediately clear if all the locations are owned by the same franchisee.
No reason for the closure was listed in the sign taped to the front of the West Glen Avenue location. The note stated, “This Subway restaurant is closed until further notice” and, “We look forward to serving you in the future.”
The same sign was found at the Subway located inside the Walmart Supercenter on North Allen Road. The location also had multiple “Now Hiring” signs taped to the windows.
Both signs directed customers to the Subway at 3615 N. Wisconsin Ave. In Peoria and its surrounding communities, there are more than 15 Subway locations.
